Forgotten Beauties
"Now, personally, I like a car with some sort of character." - Richard Hammond
The "Automobile Sculpture Park" (German: Autoskulpturenpark) is a rather unique location near the famous Neandertal museum in Erkrath. The site covers some 50 automobiles and motorcycles, all with construction year 1950. The owner, car collector Michael Fröhlich, intentionally left the exhibits unprotected and open to nature, which is visibly "striking back". The site is not open to the public. The shots in this set were taken in July 2014. In 2015 a selection of 12 pictures had been selected for the "Forgotten Beauties" calendar of the Cologne based Bundesanzeiger Verlag.
